Ladies and gentlemen: the 2011 Kia Optima
Imagine yourself sitting among the masses at the New York Auto Show, anxiously waiting for the unveiling of Kia’s latest treasure. The anticipation mounts as the officials talk-up the redesigned Bloomington Kia Optima. Will the 2011 Optima live up to the bold words of the emcee? Will it really take Kia to the next level? The excitement is palpable. Your anticipation continues to rise until (drum roll, please) the cover is drawn back and there it is – the 2011 Kia Optima, in all its glory!
I found myself in this exact scenario recently. I went to the Auto Show and heard a lot of buzz leading up to the presentation of the 2011 Kia Optima. I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical about whether or not the car could live up to the hype. But, I am here to tell you it does! After the car was revealed and the silver beauty rotated on its pedestal, I thought to myself “Wow, Kia really out did itself with this one.” I let it all soak in as the announcers continued to talk about the re-done mid-size sedan, and the more I heard the more convinced I became that the 2011 Kia Optima is in fact a game changer.
What really stands out about this car is its cut, which is a clean as that good Italian suit in your closet. Designers have stepped up to the plate and stepped out on their own for the first time. Rather than going off the design of other cars, they have set a new benchmark for sedans. The Optima was designed to transcend the trends that often come and go in the car world. It is here to last and won’t go out of style.
Thanks to the addition of three inches along the wheelbase, the Optima is longer and also wider and lower resulting in a simple and sleek body and a roomy interior. Under the hood, the Optima continues to impress. There will be two engine options. The first is a 2.4-liter gas direct fuel injection that produces 200 horsepower and earns an impressive 24/35 mpg city/highway. The second is a turbocharged 2.0-liter gas direct fuel injection that produces a class-busting 274 horsepower and earns nearly the same gas mileage. That’s impressive no matter how you look at it!
The interior is far more luxurious this time around and will have standard features such as Sirius Satellite radio, MP3 connectivity, and Bluetooth wireless technology.
The newest Bloomington Kia Optima has it all – performance, fuel efficiency, the latest technologies, and a killer design. There is no word on pricing, but dealers expect it to be around the $20,000 mark. If you have questions about the new Optima or any other Kia car – such as the new Amanti – Bloomington Kia dealer, Extreme Kia, is the place to go!
